Bouddhanath stupa is a holiest Lama Buddhist temple in Nepal. The white Bouddhnath stupa is perhaps largest stupa in the world. Bouddhnath is also a largest center for Tibetan Buddhism outside Tibet. The stupa stands on a large mandala. The most striking of the stupa is the Eyes at all four sides of the stupa. To know more about Tibetan Buddhism there are several Tibetan monasteries are around stupa. The most famous one is Kapan monastery, a 10 minute drive from the stupa.
